The Journey of One Extraordinary Middle Child and his 2 Siblings

Ryder is my middle child. He is 6 years old. Ryder loves being silly. He loves chocolate. He celebrates his individuality.
I hope you enjoy his view of the world as much as I do.

Batter Up

Parker and Ryder closed out another season of baseball this week while Leah is nearly finished with her first season of T-ball. Watching these kids play ball is my favorite hobby.  I never imagined how fun it could be to watch them improve and cheer them (louder than they wold like) on.
Somehow Luke managed to coach Leah's team and still assistant coach the boys team along with his bazillion other commitments.  Leah occasionally served as batgirl for her brother's team. Most of the time she just stood in the huddles and gave high fives after the games. Ryder discovered that he loves playing catcher.  A fitting position for this rough and tough kid.

Parker matured by leaps and bounds.  This photo shows him 3 years ago and in the current season.  He proved he can think on his feet and made some amazing plays that had this mom screaming on her feet.  Good stuff.
Next year Parker and Ryder will be on different teams.  I will miss more games as a result.  I treasure these times.  There's no better place to be than the ball field.
