The Journey of One Extraordinary Middle Child and his 2 Siblings

Ryder is my middle child. He is 6 years old. Ryder loves being silly. He loves chocolate. He celebrates his individuality.
I hope you enjoy his view of the world as much as I do.

Dropping the Ball

Life is busy with four kids.  I often feel guilty for the things that Parker and even Ryder got from their parents that Leah simply does not get.  Luke and I have looked at each other recently and said, "Hey, she doesn't know her shapes.  We should really teach her that."  However, if you would like to know the names of the characters on Barbie Life in the Dreamhouse or High School Musical, Leah can name them all.
Ball dropped.
Don't get me wrong.  Leah is very bright.  It's just when Parker and Ryder were little, we kind of lived in this toddler/preschool world.  Our world now is much different and Leah finds her way in it.

As much as I know she misses out, I have to remind myself how much she has from all these older brothers.  She has an amazing amount of love and attention at all times.

Leah's name written on our dry erase chart.  Yes, that is upside down and backwards.
We have started sitting down and working with Leah on school work more often now.  She loves "home work."  And, no surprise she is progressing quickly - when the subject interests her.

The best party is watching her brothers help Leah.  It's mama heart warming stuff for sure.  A couple weeks ago Will spent a patient twenty minutes working on getting those Leah "L's" going the correct direction.  As they say, it takes a village.  Leah has the best village you could find.
