Ryder Turns 6

Ryder celebrated six year on this earth with many of his favorites.

His swimming party was moved indoors due to a rare, early cold front.  Ryder was unphased by the change and very excited to share his favorite Mazzio' pizza and a homemade chocolate cake with friends.
His biggest request was a piƱata which we accommodated in a small space next to the restaurant parking lot.

Trying out his birthday bow and arrow.

Ryder's favorite things at the age of six include playing shooting or hunting games with his brother and friends, swimming, watching "Johnny Test,"  building Legos and dancing with his sister.  He also currently has an office ready in is room.  He can't tell me what kind of work is done in his office, but it appears to be ready for any clerical emergency.  Ryder frequently adds to his "collection."  The collection of odds and ends is housed under his dresser.  I am certain I don't want to know everything that is shoved into that space.

More than any of my other children, Ryder's face seems to change the most as he grows.  He make look different physically, but he is still the same fun-loving, energetic, intelligent, and determined boy his has always been.  Ryder has no fear of swimming up stream and going against the status quo.  I love his fearless individuality.  Mostly I just love this kid.

*Some day I will figure out why Blogger turns some of my photos, that are straight when I upload them/  Until then, enjoy the sideways shots.
