The Journey of One Extraordinary Middle Child and his 2 Siblings

Ryder is my middle child. He is 6 years old. Ryder loves being silly. He loves chocolate. He celebrates his individuality.
I hope you enjoy his view of the world as much as I do.

School

The school year is officially in full swing.  Parker started 1st grade without even allowing me to walk him to his classroom door.  He is one confident, independent young man.  Since their school is Pre-K through 1st grade only, he is also the big kid on campus this year.

Ryder carefully planned out his first day of Pre-K clothes.  It took much negotiating - his requests included a cape, his favorite old ball cap, and carrying cologne in his pockets. Being the uncool mother I am, these requests were nixed.  We found some common ground eventually.

He loved his first day of school. I asked him if anyone cried in class.  Ryder said, "Yes, this one girl cried.  And she also burped a lot and didn't say excuse me."  I look forward for more school feedback from Mr. Observant.
I asked Rye to open his eyes.  This is the result.  And yes, he got breakfast on his shirt that I wiped off before taking photos.

After dropping off the boys at school, Luke and I took the little girl for breakfast...just the three of us.  It was a very rare, and kind of nice outing.
Little Leah was not so thrilled with the change that school has created in our lives.  Being at home is much more boring without boys whizzing around.  The best part of the first day was picking everyone up from school.  They couldn't wait to hug their sister.  Love.
