I noticed that Ryder is doing well using his manners. Things like "please, thank you and yes ma'am" come out of his mouth much more often. So, I praised him for his efforts.
Me: Ryder, thank you for saying "please" when you ask for something. You are doing a really good job using your manners lately. I am proud of you.
Rye: Ya, I do have good manners. I don't even eat my boogers anymore.
