The Journey of One Extraordinary Middle Child and his 2 Siblings

Ryder is my middle child. He is 6 years old. Ryder loves being silly. He loves chocolate. He celebrates his individuality.
I hope you enjoy his view of the world as much as I do.

Bumps in the Night

So, I have mentioned before that Ryder sleeps with a different toy every night. Evidently, the toy of the night usually needs something around 3:00 AM - or whenever I am really sound asleep.

A few nights ago, Luke and I shot out of bed after we heard a loud crash in the boys' room.  Luke ran in there to see that Ryder had simply thrown his large NERF rifle off the top bunk. We were both relieved that it was a toy and not a child that had hit the ground with such a thud.

The following night, I was awakened to metal clanging together.  Ryder proceeded to come into our room, wake up Luke and ask him to open a metal lunch box.  He then quickly ran back to his room.  The contents of these necessary items at 3:00 AM are below.

After he got what he needed in each box, Ryder went right back to sleep.  I have no idea what this means or why it is necessary in the middle of the night.  I do know that there is no child like Ryder!
